Looks like a rehash of Destiny 1 with updated UI and some balancing. It will feature 4 new playable areas at launch with all new dungeons, side quests, and adventures to go on. 4v4 multiplayer and a new in game clan system. It will also be releasing for the first time on PC through battle.net. However it with be locked at 30FPS at 4K on all consoles. The beta will release this summer so everyone will have the chance to decide weather or not it will be for them.

Hoping it's a vast improvement on the first otherwise I'm not going to be interested. Trailer looked good and seems they have taken some criticism on board but I shall wait and see.

Anyone here purchase it and have an opinion on it in comparison to the first?

It has much better graphics, some places are beautiful. A solid coherent storyline with interesting and funny characters. Lore is in game now. Rewards are fair now and you can choose which way to level up rather then grind it out. I have more favorite weapons now then in 3 years of Destiny 1. Cosmetic choices allow for more customization but it is pretty bare bones right now. It feels alot easier. Definitely improves upon the first game.

It is a rehash with quality of life fixes.

Certainly looked an improvement and many have said that they have fixed a decent amount but seems lots has merely been rebooted rather than reworked.

Just finished watching Angry Joes review on it and sounds like most my annoyances about the first game are still there so shall likely give it as miss.

I had just gotten a full set of armor that both looked good and suited my play style and it got patched out  I can't believe this is Bungie. I'm having fun though.

Typical  it's a shame some things weren't reworked & micro transactions are more intrusive but glad a lot has been rectified. Gives me hope for the future that they might remove things that concern me most, though with Activision at the helm I wouldn't hold my breath.
