Diachi troubles! Grrrr!

Ok, I'm in Archon's Knot at the part with the spike pit, with the melee attack orb, and the shelf with candles. I'm trying to cross the spike pit to get the orb, but there is an invisible wall in my way. Same with the candles, invisible wall!

I tried time control, hurling blades at the shelf, whipping fireballs and all that nonsense. I still can't go past the invisible wall.

Help!

The candles are in an order to help you get through the place without getting hurt. Follow the order like up, left, left, up, up, right and so on and you'll get there. That or you can just run around 'till you get there if you have enough health.
