They did just remove that AND the Villager promotion.

I called up. "We honestly don't have a clue where it's gone, I'll send you an email resolution later to what's going to happen but we'll certainly be chasing this."

They did? The scoundrels! I've pre-ordered the limited edition through Amazon.co.uk as well... methinks there's shenanigans is afoot.

Edit: I've just got in touch with customer support and I'll let you know how I get on.

Contacted them via phone and the guy said he didn't have a clue (after running around for about half an hour) but he'd try to get it clarified and send me an email.

Sent an email into customer service and we'll see what their reply is.

Here's the response I recently received from Amazon support:

Thank you for ordering 'Fable III Limited Collector's Edition (Xbox 360)' from Amazon.co.uk.

We can confirm that you are eligible for participation in this promotion.

Since you have placed this order before October 28, 2010, I confirm that you should be receiving the code by October 29, 2010.

Please note that promotional code emails are sent throughout the day. As emails can take a little time to be delivered by various networks, you may receive the promotional code later in the day.

Please ensure that your mail provider and account are not diverting Amazon email to any "Spam" or "Trash" folders. This should ensure mail delivery going forward.

If you have not receive the promotional code still the close of October 29, 2010, please let us know so that we will take an appropriate action.

Hmm, interesting.

Still, though, why did they remove the bonuses from the main page? It's not going to be the 28th for two days, yet!

Amazon are just weird like that. They're obviously not primarily a gaming website and staff are not usually equipped to answer that isn't anything to do with... well, books, I guess. When I've had problems in the past with PC components that I've bought from them, they've been like "Yeah, err... you what, mate? Garlic bread?"

They're ruddy brilliant when they have a clue what the hell I'm talking about though. I've been shopping exclusively with Amazon since they did me a favour and refunded me on a dodgy projector that I'd purchased that had suddenly died after nine months of use.

Anywhoo - no idea why they would remove the DLC listing information from the page. Then again, it baffles me as to why they change their product prices several times a day - even by just a few pence. They've confirmed that we'll receive our DLC though... so I'll just put this one down as Amazon just being dippy ol' Amazon.
