July 31, 2009 - Earlier this week Activision spilled the proverbial beans on a forthcoming special edition of DJ Hero, dubbed the Renegade Edition. With an alluring black finish, metal accents, custom carrying case, and 2-disc CD featuring unreleased tracks from Eminem and Jay-Z, the Renegade Edition has a lot to offer prospective DJ Hero owners. However, a few important details were left out of Activision's official announcement this week; like, for instance, how much the bundle will cost and which platforms it will be available for. We went to Activision with these questions and more and what we found did not exactly satisfy our curiosities.
According to Activision, the Renegade Edition will be available exclusively for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. In other words, the Renegade Edition will not be coming to the PlayStation 2. As for reports that the bundle will be $199.99, per product listings on Gamestop.com, Activision says that pricing for the bundle has not been finalized and any listing on retailers may be subject to change.
While the game is still several months out, we expect to hear a confirmed pricing structure for the title soon. In the meantime, we'll continue to berate and nag Activision until our answers (and demands) are met.
