DLC and hero freeze load question

So I completed my very glitchy game, was just puttering around and my character is now frozen on the Brightwoods load screen. I've done all the advised fixes, like downloaded to hdd and cleared cache, but nothing. It wouldn't bother me much, but I want him for the DLC. I've never used DLC before, so my potentially noobish question is this: Will the DLC work like a standalone game with the hero exported into it? What are the chances the DLC will be a workaround for the impossible Brightwoods load?

Seriously, how dare Lionhead release this product with a single save slot per character.

There's more than one save.

You just have to start new game and it auto saves to another file. Then when you click "continue" on the main menu it lets you choose which file to load.

But that's just starting a new game. I mean multiple saves of the same game, so if something glitchy arises and corrupts a file a player can return to an earlier save without beginning over again. I wouldn't have been able to finish the first Fable without its five slots. I needed all of them.

Well first; you can't save in multiple slots with the same game. I have tried it and really was hopeing it worked when I accidently made a certain mistake in Fairfax Castle (if you know what I mean). Second, for the glitching, my best suggestion is to wait until January 13, when Lionhead will be releasing a free patch to Fable II to fix most of the glitching problems. When Fable II first came out there was around 56 glitches, the patch back in early November fixed about half of them or so. After this patch coming up there should be only a remainder of glitches in the single digit range! If you chose to purchase the DLC that is up to you for 800MS. It wouldn't include the Patch, because that is free with all Fable II and Fable II LCE games. The DLC will be a saved format to your hard-drive or memory device allowing you to continue where you left off and explore the DLC without having to load a new game. I hope I may have solved any issues you may have had. Best of luck with the Brightwood thing.

UPDATE: If you are talking about the Limited Edition DLC, then the most you can do is just wait for the patch. Good Luck once more.

Well the game actually can make multiple saves (try going to the Crucible saving midway through and then region porting somewhere it will load the autosave it makes upon entering the Crucible) so maybe there are a few saves in your save file but you personally cant access them, you might be able to get LH to somehow load one of those previous saves if they are there.. dont know and it sounds doubtful but worth a shot.
