i doubt it will ever be free, most likley they (lionhead and microsoft) will lower the price to 600 microsoft pionts, its defonitly worth buying, just go on youtube and look it up, there are alot of new weapons and suits, including potions to alter your appearance so its all gooood.
if your a dedicated fan of fable then buy it.

if you have a friend with it, you can download the free version and play through it with him free of charge. achievements included.

Here's MY opinion on DLCs:
If it's free and has loads or little extras,It's worth it!
If it costs micro.points and is only extra weapons and spells,etc,It's not worth it!
If it costs micro.points and has extra levels,weapons,chars,etc,It's worth it!
