I don't know if they grow fruit, but they do grow flowers. It could perhaps be a floral flavor?

Yes, there are fruit-growing cacti out there such as the opuntia (or otherwise known as the prickly pears). They grow fruits called cactus figs which do taste really good, I used to have some of it when I was a kid.
