I'm guessing you do, because at the moment I cannot buy Fairfax Castle, Brightwood Tower, the Cemetery Mansion, or any large pieces of property like that.

Am I right? And if so, when can you acquire these places?

u can buy them once u beat the game

Re: Do you have to be in a certain point in the game to buy certain places?

K, thanks.

Does that go for the quests associated with them as well?

Certain conditions must be met. Spoilers ahead!~

Brightwood Tower can only be bought after you complete wraithmarsh and can return to brightwood. The cemetary mansion can only be bought after you complete the quest to revive lady grey - sorry forgot the name of it. Castle Fairfax is only available after you finish the story.

There are also places like the rookridge inn, available to buy after you do the 'something stinks' quest. Thag's Hut is available to buy when you return there later. Also if you take the good path on 'cold comfort farmer' quest for helping Giles, and then later help Giles again with the 'blind date' quest, he will sell you his nicely upgraded farm.

Another question: can you buy the Crucible?

Re: Do you have to be in a certain point in the game to buy certain places?

I don't know about buying the Crucible, although that would be awesome, but there seems to be a glitch that allows you to do the Brightwood Tower quest twice, once before finishing the main quest, and again after, thus doubling your rewards.

Yeah I love that Brightwood tower glitch. Essentially doing that quest twice pays you back the money you spent on the tower. More if you sell both gems of sorrow.

I've never seen a sign posted near the door at any point in my games...

Barnum states he owns the Crucible after he fixes up Westcliff, so maybe he just doesn't want to sell it. But I have no idea what the reason would be if you didn't choose to fix up the town.

wish u could buy it
