Do you know what four 10 by 30 meters pools of poo smell like?

Well, I do.

Yeah, that's right, time for a timely update on the situation on me working.

Well, I've been wanting to get back to you all, but I've been too sick and too doped up to do so...
Doped? Yeah, I am doped up right out of my mind at the moment.

But first things first: I arrived at the plant(see "Working man"-thread) on Monday and man... just the smell of the place gave you a feeling of... well, that sick, sick feeling you get deep on your stomach when you have a reaaaally bad case of diareah? Well, you get that permanentlly while working at this place, though you do not need to go to the bathroom. The feeling just... lingers.

And the pools of the water that is going to be cleaned.... yuck - some very suspicious looking chunks that swirld around in there, let me tell you!

Anyway, after a while dad called me - appears that this place is so dirty and sick that you can actually get reaaaally sick by just being there - so when I quit that day I had to go get some shots against various diseases... ugh.. I am still feeling those, all---- dopey.

So yeah, that's me at the moment - dirt, drugged and feeling a "fake" feeling of being reaaaally sick to the stomach.

By tomorrow we will start on the office complex though, so it will hopefully be a wee bit better.

That sucks, sounds like a nasty job to be doing. You know what they say though, someones got to do it. Hopefully it starts improving for you soon and no more disease shots are heading your way.

That sucks, sounds like a nasty job to be doing. You know what they say though, someones got to do it. Hopefully it starts improving for you soon and no more disease shots are heading your way.

Ugh.. yeah. As I said, I won't really be around the pools no more(hopefully), so I should be OK. One has to think that it has to take a special kind of person to actually work at this place - after all, I am just there pulling cables and installing stuff.

Ugh.. yeah. As I said, I won't really be around the pools no more(hopefully), so I should be OK. One has to think that it has to take a special kind of person to actually work at this place - after all, I am just there pulling cables and installing stuff.

Dont they offer any kind of protective clothing or anything because if you get any of that stuff in cuts and such you could get bad infections.

Nah, I just got some ear protection - the pumps and stuff are awfully loud. My working "uniform", of sorts, is a helluva lot tougher than normal clothing though - several layers so one cut won't go through and some padding here and there.

Got some heavy-duty shoes aswell - stomp down with all of your might on a nail standing straight up and it'll flatten - nothing gets through them shoes.

And I did get those shots... *shrugs* - free of charge, on the company! I think one of them was hepatitis or whatever it's called, and that'll last me a life-time. Free of charge.:ninja:

But as long as I don't feel like "poo diving" or "poo water drinking" , I don't think I am at high risk. I hope.

Well you could walk around pretending to be the Master Chief or something in your suit if it makes you feel better. Free immunity for life is also a good perk, maybe the job isnt that bad after all :lol:

Building your immune system up and getting you working and such. Now you know why your dad might be in a bad mood after a rough day, you can sympathise now :lol:

Yeah. Don't know about the other diseases, but this Hepatitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia seems to be one disease you often take shots before going vacation in places like Thailand and stuff - so it's coo'!

Can get it from lots of things and there are 3 seperate types i believe.

Reminds me of one definition of a Hero as someone who does what others are unwilling or unable to do but still needs to be done. That certainly falls into that category
