well it sometimes depends on what kind of firewall your using and what security level its currently on. But if you just installed fable the firewall probably thinks it a worm, virus etc. that can hurt your computer so its probably being normal. If u have any more problems feel free to post them and welcome to the forums!

A firewall shouldnt affect your game in any way as they are only meant to minoitor incoming or outgoing internet/network traffic and the game does not produce any.

Yes - that it was it is used for, to keep your computer out of harm's way....

but as long as i dont go online is it safe to turn it off when i play fable.....and just turn it back on and wait a while then go online...????sorry if im asking to many questions....

Well, just because you are not surfing the web doesn't mean you aren't connected to it, and people who you might not want in your computer can gain access anyway.

And as mentioned: "Why?" Your firewall doesn't affect Fable anyway, it is just taking a silly risk.

The firewall shouldnt really affect the game, but i do sometimes disable my firewall and anti virus when playing online games as they can cause lag sometimes (especcily when auto update is switched on and they decide to do it while your playing).

i Downloaded Wolfenstein and i had to download a map... it said i was downloadin Worms i couldnt exit out of the game or anythign i had to turn off my comp

Ive done it for 5 years and had no problem, if your anti virus is up to date daily they are easily removed.
