Dog Resurrection?

Hi. Yah, so I read somewhere that there is a cave somewhere on Knothole Island where you can resurrect your dog if you lock a villager in it if you chose

sacrifice at the end of the game

Can anyone confirm or deny this? Also, I am in dire need of help with creating a spoiler, as exhibited by my sad attempt at it above. Please help.

That is correct.

It's not only when you chose sacrifice. Wealth also.

There's a small graveyard on Knothole Island. There is a tiny tomb that you can only step in, it isn't it's own location. When the game ends and you make a wish that keeps your dog dead, a stone statue of a dog will appear on top of the small tomb on Knothole Island. Make a person follow you in there and pull the lever that should be to the left (if you're loooking at it; if you're coming out, the lever's to the right). Pull that and the tomb doors will close. When they open, the person will be gone and your dog will have resurrected.

Quick question... hate to jack the post... I did this trick and got my dog back... which lasted almost forever... once I got all 50 gargoyles I came out of the Trove and then he was gone??? I would see the pawprint on the map but the dog is nowhere to be found... is there a way to do that trick again?? or is my best bud lost for good??
