Eidos Montreal studio to double in size

Many of you have played or at least seen Square Enix's latest creation from their Eidos Montreal studio Deus Ex: Human Revolution. If not you have probably seen the worldwide acclaim it has recieved from media outlets worldwide. Well after its success the publisher will create a further 350 new jobs at the Deus Ex studio with a grant of $2 million CAD (£1.2m) from the Québec government to further future developments. ​

The expansion would bring the total number of employees at the studio from 330 to 680, making the Deus Ex firm the third biggest development studio in Montreal, behind EA Montreal (800 employees) and Ubisoft Montreal (2,100 employees).​

It's nice to see some good news about company jobs in the gaming industry for once, was a nasty stream of job losses awhile back and earlier into last year.
