Epic Ready To Have Sales Records Smashed By Halo 3

Epic's Mark Rein is in his own words 'Preparing to get his game and *** kicked by Halo 3' but in a good way. Epic have already prepared to relinquish their sales crown to Bungie and the most highly awaited games sequel of the year Halo 3.

Gears of War went triple platinum (that three million units sold) in just ten weeks of the shooter going on sale in November 2006. "Like blockbuster titles from Microsoft's Halo franchise and the Grand Theft Auto and Zelda franchises, Gears of War is tracking to be one of the best-selling video games of all time and has established itself as the most successful new IP of the next generation.

However Mark Rein had this to say:

All those records we broke with Gears of War are going down on September 25.We've had a nice nine, ten months of being the record holder, and now we're going to get our *** kicked. In a good way.

Hate to break it to you, but Halo for me isn't the best shooter :hmm: As far as I know, the plots of the series, so far, weren't that strong...and even though i'm 'good' at Halo, I never really enjoyed it. In fact, I only bought it because that was the only xbox live game that my friends played...man, things have changed.

Can't wait for Bioshock

Personally, i'm a Gears of War guy.

Just because Halo 3 gets the most sales, doesn't mean everyone thinks it's a good game. I'm sorry but, in comparison to a game like Assassins Creed...Halo 3 is not really significant to me.:hmm:

By the way, Fable 2 will kick everyones ***.

Fable is an RPG Halo is an FPS/TPS/CM They are unrelated and can't effect each other and its not smart to think so
