Epic Sets the Terms for the Next Gears of War 2 XP Event
Source
C'mon guys!
Epic, and Rod Fergusson in particular, have noticed that this whole XP bribing is a valuable weapon in their arsenal.
First, the Gears ExecProducer bribed Gears of War 2 fans to follow him on Twitter in exchange for a massive XP payout. Then he bribed everyone to follow the official Gears of War account on Facebook. Now, something completely different.
At current time GameSpot are running an All Time Greatest Villain face-off on their site. 64 villains in a tournament style bracket where only one can win.
Gears of War's General RAAM has had a good run thus far, defeating Shao Kahn, Captain Qwark and even Sephiroth along the way to get to the quarter finals.
Currently, General RAAM is facing off against Half Life 2's enigmatic Dr. Breen and he's up against it. At the time of publishing this article, the big Gears of War 1 beastie is losing fractionally with 49.7% of the votes. Fergusson wants to use the power of XP to fix that.
"Every % pt RAAM wins over Dr. Breen = the XP multiplier for the next event. e.g. 60% vs 40% = 20x XP," said the Gears of War Executive Producer on Twitter.
Oh Epic. You are sneaky.
What are you waiting for folks? They're bribing you again with an offer you can't refuse. That, and there's no registraion required. It's simply two clicks away. One click here. One click on the blue. Then job's a good 'un.
Go go internet power.
