Error Issue

My character is stuck in a job/quest scene. The npc for the job/quest has disappeared from its location. I have tried leaving the zone where the npc is located, finding enemies to kill me, restarting my system, and accepting new quests. Nothing has work and the npc still has not reset. The error has disabled my character's ability to run, draw weapons, and engage enemies in combat. However, I can still search furniture and purchase goods from all vendors. This problem is very frustrating, and if anyone has advise on how I might address this error, I would appreciate it.​

Tried fast travelling at all?

i had the same problem try to find him or press the A button and hold him for soem time

No, neither of those ideas solved the problem. The game won't allow fast travel since my character is engaged in the scene mentioned before, and I tried holding the A button, but no success with that either.

Can you not finish the job, advance to next level and then leave?

The job was for the slave trade, in Borrowstone Cemetery. I was listening to the npc's dialogue, then as the accept icon appeared. I choose not to accept, and walked off to investigate the gargoyle I heard nearby. My character is still caught in that scene, and I have tried everything conceivable to reset the npc. I even emailed Lionhead asking for assistance.

The one that leads you to the Hobbes probably. I always go, so I haven't seen that glitch. You can start a new character, and come back to this one later. I have 6 profiles. Wait now 5, just erased one.

That's one seriously nasty glitch. All I can think of is starting a new game. It's not pleasant, but it is always an option.

you have to wait for the civilian job displacement in the graveyard to re-appear. Once it came back I finished the scene and was set free. I highly recommend tearing that dude up!
