Evil against Thag!
Hello! This is my first post although I have posted answers to others before (not many, though) and I didn't know what to name the post, but I guess "Evil against Thag!" will have to do... maybe...
Anyway. Are you playing evil and want lots and lots of evil points? And money? Well, this tip doesn't really do much for you on the money front and I would doubt you could call it "hard cash," but for evil points it's a marvel!
First of all, you have got to go through the pebble of rocks that once was the Guild that everyone respected and looked up to (not because it was on a high hill - as a matter of fact, it was down hill! lol) and get moving towards Bowerstone. After the guard tell you that the way is blocked, look up Thag to the right of the blockage and duel (nay, kill) all of his crew and of course himself too. Now, enter Thag's little hut and open the chest for the cage key (when you're about to exit, there's a bag with one whole gold piece to the right of the door). Now, so far you're probably with me since it's in the beginning of the game, but here is the evil point trick, you see:
1. Give the key to the slave owner for the "hard cash" and evil points.
2. Kill the slave owner and take back the key from him.
3. Free the slaves.
4. Now, as the freed slaves that cost you 30 good points (or minus 30 evil points, if you will) flees to carry on their lives (don't forget how happy they probably are at the moment), kill them, dammit!
To sum up: for giving Thag's key to the slave owner you get some evil points. When you kill him I don't know if you get either good or bad points or even no points at all. After gaining 30 good points for freeing the slaves, killing them gives you much, much more evil points than just giving the key to the slave owner.
At least this worked for me. +rep
