Expectations...Broadband
Alright, So you read my heading and you're like, WTF??
Okay i'm a New Zealander. I've heard that the entire country is going to get those fancy internet wires. (forgot what there called. lol) Anyway so I'm sitting there watching the news and I hear that, so what's the look on my face? You guessed it: :w00t: But seconds later the bad news reaches my ears. I'll have to wait about 10 years.:O. Thats right. But I don't need high speed internet to play games you say? Oh but I do. It was a few months ago when I recieved Crysis: Warhead from a friend. I was pretty stoked. So I inserted the disk started up the installation and patiently waited my cheeks off. Good old Quad Core didn't leave me waiting long though. But I was to soon be whacked around the face by something so unexpected that, well, It whacked me in the face. The dreadful ONLINE ACTIVATION. Well, what do I do? What is the only thing to do. No it wasn't going and spending fortunes to get a high speed internet. But it was to get my friend to get a cracked version. And return the legal version to the bloody store it came from. Call me a pirate irate:. Or Call me a villian to the gaming industry. But sometimes we have to commit unessacary evils to play that game we got for Christmas. Because those expectations from Microsoft, Producers and Online gamers in America (who will kick you off an online match if you are over 100 ping) are ruining your gaming life. Even those of you console gamers can be affected, missing out on DLC's like Knothole Glade '() because your area has been untouched by the sword (I mean the high speed internet) or your bank is not as fortunate as others (like the guy who accidentaly recieved 10mill)
So what should we do. Well I don't know, that's what forums are for anyway aren't they? Go on post your ideas, cry so hard that the world shall know they shouldn't expect such things from us!
