When I play games where I am given the option to decide between right an wrong, I inevitably end up doing all of the "good choices", which I feared would doom me in Fable III. I could not have been more right, I kept all of the promises I made along the way, granting them as I became king. Unfortunately my kingdoms treasury had to suffer, and I ended up negative 2,000,000 gold and not being able to put together my army to fight Aurora's "Darkness" and I lost the projected 6,500,000 civilians in doing so. I also lost my dear friend and mentor along the way by my own blade which did not help the cause.
For those of you that are reading and have completed the game, did you suffer the same fate as I did? If not how did things turn out for you in the end? Did you like the story of Fable III? Were there any twists in the game that threw you off?
Personally I think Lionhead did an amazing job with the story, and it was 100% better than in Fable II. I felt the emotion that any normal person would feel, had they been put in that situation. I was shocked to find out that Logan was actually being a "Tyrant" to help Albion, and most and foremost I was astounded that you ultimately in the end ended up killing your good friend walter.
*Sorry, I am not sure what is up with the spoiler code*

Same as you, but I missed to save "only" 1 million souls. The shaming thing is that I had the money to save them, but the game didn't alert me when I was reaching the final quest and I didn't transfer the money from my personal account. Did you know you can transfer your personal money into the Reign's account?

However, I didn't like the way they made the final part: short time in Aurora, short time being king and short final quest. All of those points could be avoided by lengthen them, but I think they did rush the making of the game in the end.

Well I don't think more than 100-250 survived to be entirely honest based on what iv'e seen around Albion so far. Yeah I was doing the the entire way through to lessen my debt, but it didn't help, being that I did not do the glitch. They definitely rushed the ending of the game, it would have been nice if it was spread out a bit, but all in all I did like the story.

I liked the story too, but the Darkness thing wasn't thorough and I think the game needs a Lost Chapters edition or something like that. I was so excited to be King and to fight the Darkness, but I realized that the King part was finished and the Darkness thing too, in less than 20 minutes from my last kingly choice. Awful. Shame on Lionhead: they created one of the best plot, but they didn't go deeper.

that happened to me =( only a few soldiers are alive and there is alot of dead ppl al over Albion im a bad queen *crys*
