Being a fan of the Fable series since the release of Fable 2, I could not resist giving Fable 3 a try. After completing the game along with a few side quests I found that Fable 3 had far less content/consideration put into it than Fable 2. Aside from my faithful companion getting into a few glitchy spots I have not yet to experience any game-breaking glitches, luckily. The content compared to Fable 2 is a bit scarce. This meaning the exclusion of the expression wheel, and the fact that there are only about 4-6 items available in a store at a time as well. I also feel that the story line should be longer, more allies to gain, and more decisions to make as a king. This is because of the obvious fact that the game gets a bit boring after beating it. Fable 2 had a larger variety of weapons, augments, and items (I didn't bother to count but I think Fable 3 had a few more quests than Fable 2 though.). I'm not posting this thread to complain but am just curious about how others feel about this. Sorry if there are threads much like this one, I didn't look.

I loved Fable 2, though Fable 3's starting to grow on me now that I played it multiple times. I never really cared about the expression wheel from 2, but while 3's was more simplistic in two or three different expressions at a time, they made way for dynamic touching which I absolutely loved because I can finally hug and play with my children now.

It's a matter of what they shelved out and added in. They left only four different types of weapons for Strength and Skill, but they created a morph system which was pretty badass to play with. With Will, the different spell types were lowered in quantity, but they introduced gauntlets and Spellweaving, which adds to the unique customization of how your hero combines different spells at a time. The same with clothing---they took out some of the quantity and added more quality to it like adding shades for dyes and having more options to dye.

I guess I like Fable 3 a little better now because they expanded on some of these things that people complained about and they simply had to take some stuff out to do it. Not everyone was happy about it, but I respect them for trying out new things with the possibility of failing or succeeding than having them shell out mediocre games time and time again without any vision to do something creative.
