Fable 3 Albion population return?

I've just completed the story of fable 3 and am now continuing with guild seal missions. But before the darkness attack i failed miserably to gather gold. i am now stuck with a very empty albion and was wondering if the population returns without me having to restart the game?

As far as I know you're stuck with an empty Albion. Start over, be a good guy and build a real estate empire, or be evil and make all the evil choices as king.

I've heard the population gradually returns if you sleep lots and lots of times over.

And if you donate money to the treasury.

Basicaly if you sleep you get people coming back, but they will react hostilely towards you, even if you were good:steve:

Yeah, sleep over and over and the bodies will disappear and the population will grow. Bad news is you're not a very popular ruler anymore since you let everyone die...like Grave said, most people don't like you.
