Fable Challenges

Okay I dont think there is an area for this kind of thing so I am going to up and suggest it, see what you guys think. There are a couple of different ideas I've had about this kind of thing so bear with me. Ill explain as best I can.

An area within the forum where members could set Quests for other users to complete on their Fable game. Once the quest is complete there would have to be some kind of method of prooving they have completed this quest For example, a picture or screen cap.

Challenge:
To begin a new game and slay fifty bandits within a certain time.

Boasts:
Slay 100 bandits within this time
Slay 100 bandits in half the time

Proof:
Picture of your personality window showing time spent in game and bandits killed

End Date:
23rd April 2006

The other ideas would be more an evolution of this main premise. Things such as tournaments involving mass user particpation with an overall. Rewards in lieu of reputation points added to the winner of a certain quest/challenge or something such as that.

I dont know what you guys think of it but it was just a little something that popped into my head and I thought you all might be interested.

That seems a little easy. I started a new game only a week ago, and ive killed over 300 bandits. Unless the end date is not the certain time.

I think that's a great idea. The perfect way to keep users interested in the forums and a way to help build reputation points. I would like to think of a few quests of my own that I would like for everyone to challenge. I give two thumbs up my friend, and I hope this idea will be granted.

That seems a little easy. I started a new game only a week ago, and ive killed over 300 bandits. Unless the end date is not the certain time.

Well that was only an example- obviously the challenges would be more difficult but in the end it would be down to whoever sets the challenge which could be anybody- the forum would allow anybody on site to set challenges.

Say the example was real though- the end date would be the final day for people to have posted their screen caps. The certain time would be something like thirty minutes or an hour if that was going to be a serious challenge. People would be limited to how many times they could submit an entry for a certain challenge maybe three times or something? Or we could have the same quest but set different difficulty levels for it and change the details like for a Hero difficulty level you could have it to slay 400 bandits in one hour but for an apprentice it could be 100 bandits in one hour?

If anybody likes the idea but has any ideas on how to improve their much appreciated...

Siegfried- it may also add a little more longevity to the gameplay- being able to compete against users. My friend and I do it sometimes and its always a bit of a laugh. Never tried across a forum though.

Ditto, great idea! Should even have its own page its such a good idea! A page showing all the challenges, and whos currently the top scorer for it.

Really good idea, like siegfried said, would keep members interested in the forum, aswell as interested in the game.

I'm all for it.

Excellent idea, however it made be best if we wait for the board to become a little more active (it's still early days yet ).

But we can certainly plan a few challenges in advance. I'm intrigued as to what other tasks you guys have lined up.

Yeah nice idea as steve said, i think as soon as we have more members to partake in these 'challenges' it could make for some interesting topics etc

Yeah as it stands there is only a few really active members at the moment which means competition could get rather stale after a while. Loads of members would be the ideal way to go. Would you guys mind if I did a challenge or two in the mean time- just to see how it goes. Consider it a test run...

:hmm: well this sounds like a great idea but i dunno if i can take a picture or screen cap. i know how to take a picture on a computer but i got it on the xbox and i dunno if i can. if some one knows can they please tell me. ty

mmm, i guess that is a problem.
Unless the challenges just go for pc users =( But wouldnt be fair on everyone else then.

I'd do it although i don't have the PC version so i feel left out

Great idea really, but I borrowed my game to my cousin for a short time and I cant take part to those challenges... =( Too bad for me... =(
