Fable III Boss Battles

Fable I's was SO awesome. The Kraken, Twinblade, the Giant Bee (thingy), the Scorpion, White Balverine, Jack of Blades (human and dragon), and a few others (I think).

Fable II.. meh. A few Rock Trolls, I guess Banshees, and Ripper, and Thag... and the Commandant... and Headless Hollowman...

Fable I is the winner in my opinion. I even feel like playing it right now. Fable I had big bosses, ones that took time to kill, ones that were a bit difficult (a bit). Fable II... WHAT? Lucien I figured would be so hard, but I killed him by holding down A for several seconds, then pressing Y once. Bummer.

So what do you want in Fable III? Any Boss Battles? What kind?

I'd love some huge beastly battles. Like the Kraken, the Dragon etc. Maybe Logan can unleash them upon us or something?

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

I still liked Fable 2's bosses. Fighting trolls is much better than in TLC, and I really like fighting people that have a sword, a gun, and/or Will powers like the Hero, so Thag, Ripper, Captain Dread, and the Commandant were pretty fun. I really liked the great shard too.

However, I do agree that TLC had better boss battles. Not by much, though. Like I said, I like fighting other people more than I like fighting big monsters, and TLC has a lot of battles against other Heroes or ex-Heroes. There was Twinblade, Whisper, Maze, Jack, Thunder, Briar Rose, Nostro, etc. I still liked a couple of the boss battles with creatures, though. The wasp queen, the white balvarine, Arachanox, and Jack's dragon form were interesting. Fighting trolls could have been better, though. I'm glad they improved on that in Fable 2. But the kraken...jesus, that was a terrible boss battle. A kraken would have been able to do so much more. Plus, it just put its head down right in front of you so you could hit it. That was really stupid.

This might not be very realistic because there's probably no Heroes' Guild in Fable 3, but I'd like more battles against Heroes. Preferably Reaver. They should at least put in some more bandit leaders for you to fight like Fable 2 had. I just want some actual people to fight. Perhaps Samarkand (if you can actually go there) and Aurora will provide some new and interesting boss battles.

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

I like fighting people that have swords, too. But Fable 2 was simply too easy... (Not to mention that Thag guy... Omg)
Fable TLC had more awesome boos fights, but the trolls were not worked out great. Fable 2 had better troll fights, but the rest of the boss fights was boring. (the great Shard was somewhat cool, but still easy.)
In fable 3 I want a variety of Bosses: Big monsters, people with swords and guns, other people with Will Power. But most of all, they must be DIFFICULT.

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

You can't really rag on Fable for it being too easy. That's just the kind of game Fable is. It's not something that's meant to hone your skills, it's just meant to be fun and give you the chance to create your own character as you play.

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

Well, I guess that's true. But I do like to have the feeling that I'm a hero because I actually save people from dangerous enemies. in Fable TLC I felt more pleased when I defeated an enemy, I had the feeling (at least, more than in F2) that I accomplished something great.

Well, if it's true that Fable doesn't have to be hard, because it's about your character I can live with it. Though, if in Fable 3 there is another thing like the Colosseum or the crucible, then I want strong enemies. That's when a challenge is presented, that you have to complete. There, I want the enemy's power to be counted more than just the time in which you complete it.

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

i dont think its considered a boss battle, but fighting in wars on fable 3 will hopefuly be difficult enough to feel like you've actually accomplished something

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

My favorite Battle of all time was the Scorpion, Twinblade, or Jabk of Blades.

Jack of Blades was made to where you had to use more than one type of combat, like you had to use Melee, and then Skill/Will. I like Variety. Remember how he kept running, how he was hard, the time he began floating, and stuff like that.

Now I will go read up on Jack, as I am not clear what his motives were.

Sadly, I own Fable, not TLC.

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

im not at all sure how involved u personally will be when u go to war but i would be kewl if in order to win the battle u had to beat a sizeable amount of enimeies then defeat a boss like general or king

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

War hasn't even been confirmed.

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

It's been confirmed on wikipedia :D.

Re: Fable III Boss Battles

I personally believe games have grown out of boss battles. They aren't really necessary unless it's a turn based JRPG.

I kinda don't want any.

Same, It would still be cool if they did though.

Without a boss battle though there would need to be some other form of epic ending to take its' place. What would you want instead?
