Fable Multiplayer

I never can find the correct answer.

Is it possible for my friend to hook up a controller to my XBox 360 and he play multiplayer with me?

Or do I have to download the patch?

Is the patch only for playing multiplayer across XBox Live?

Basically, can I get a brand-new Fable II, a new 360 and play multi on it (locally), or do I need a patch?

I believe it works just fine with out a patch, though im not entirely sure.

You can have "couch co-op" as PM calls it. It should be fine without a patch, because it's all on the same system. If you were trying to play with two Xboxs, then you may have compatability issues.

Well, sometimes I invite my friends over and they hook up one of my controllers and press start on Fable 2 and they appear. But we did find this one bug where both of us just froze but we could still use Will attacks, expressions, and all that.

The patch was for online multiplayer only. Local multiplayer does not need the patch.
