Fable not working on my 360

So I decided to throw Fable II aside for a bit.

I dug out Fable 1, put it in. Something says "Update available". So I update it (I was connected to Live). Well it goes to a white screen, with the XBOX Symbol on it and underneath it says XBOX.

Few seconds later something says the Game encountered a problem.

Then below it it says:

X: 5829.0
B: 1884.0


What do I do?

Move your Xbox over and up a little so that-- oh thats X and B. You caught me.

Throwing (X,Y) coordinate jokes aside, as you have said, you updated as it is required for you to have a certain update to play Xbox games on a 360. Do you have a hard drive? You are always connected to Xbox Live (Internet)? Do you have the latest update?

I have a hard drive, an XBOX Pro comes with like... 60 GB? Something along those lines.

Not permanently connected.

Latest update, yes.

Restart your Xbox, clear your cache, install the game on HD, try again.

I would contact technical support at http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitysupportissues.htm there might be other solutions to clearing a cache. Personally I think clearing the cache is a nuisance since you have to download updates for all your old games too. And it wil not necessarily fix the problem
