Fable TLC Load Issues (360)

I have just recently started to play Fable TLC on my xBox 360, which is my first time playing any Fable game. I wanted to take a break from the game after 'leaving my childhood' and used a Hero Save to do so. When I went back to the game, Loading the save, it loaded from the autosave after my departure from Oakvale (complete with FMVs). What is going on with this? If I can't save the game and return to it when I desire, then what's the point in playing such a long game?

Thanks for the help,
EC02

Re: Fable TLC Load Issues (360)

You have two types of saves. One is called 'Hero Save' and the other is called 'World Save'. If you're in the middle of your training, or a quest, you won't have World Save available. World Save is in fact, a save which saves everything, including your location. But a Hero save is a save which only... saves certain things, and not your location, hence your "weird" load.

Note that if you Hero Save too much, about 12-15 times, your save will glitch and won't be able to open again.

The following is a Hero Save glitch.
If you use it in moderation though, you can use Hero Save (which is only available during a quest) to continuously gain silver keys or age reduction. I find the best way is to wait until after you kill Jack of Blades the first time and get the Ransom Victim quest. Then, donate to the Temple of Avo to gain an age reduction, dig up the silver key near the red statue and fish out another silver key from the lake. Proceed to Hero Save. When you load, you can do the quest again; you will be able to get another age reduction (which is normally only possible once), get another 2 silver keys and Hero Save AGAIN. However, you must not get the Age Reduction or dig up/fish out the silver keys.

I selected The Ransom Victim quest instead of The Archeologist because you can enter the Witchwood Lake (which is where the fished out silver key is) unlike The Archeologist, which means less Hero Saves and more keys.
