Family dead, yet still occupying a house :/

*spoiler* my family died along with almost all the rest of the citizens albion (why was I so good!?!) at the end of the main story, yet, they are still taking upkeep from me, and are still living in a house. When i try to divorce my wife, absolutely nothing happens. I can relocate them, but they don't actually f****ing exist!!! Any suggestions as to what I can do to remedy this? The heart symbol on the d-pad is starting to annoy the crap out of me, and they're making me miss out on valuable rent!

btw, i have reduced their upkeep to £0. I'm not that stupid
