Far Cry 3: Hilarious Outpost Takeover

It's times like this I wish I recorded my gameplay, but this story must be told.

On the south island, the outpost know as "Stubborn Kid Farm" I was scouting the location when a bear suddenly wandered into the camp and killed a few guys before they took it out. Lucky break I thought, and as I was tagging the remaining enemies with the camera a second bear wandered in and did the same thing and managed to take down on of three Heavies before dying. As I was laughing my ass off I actually saw a third bear spawn in nearby and lay down. I sat back and watched it for a bit thinking "no way. Will it? Will iiiiit?" Oh, yes it did. It wandered in, mauled two Heavies and the remaining merc, and I got the undedected bonus for taking over the outpost without having to lift a finger.

Anyone got any other funny/interesting Far Cry stories?

This is why I love open world games with random events & unscripted encounters. Ive seen some funny things with the wildlife but main one was a goat & deer being chased by a group of Komodo dragons & a tiger. They lead the predators towards some wandering enemies, the enemies opened fire & some were taken down & some animals died. Then the goat & deer made a break for it & the remaining merc was reloading when a pack of dogs came out of nowhere & took him down & ran off. I merely went in and raided the ammo/equipment & skinned the dead animals. More games need to have random encounters & unscripted AI like this.

Well my friend had something similar happen in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. where he "completed" a mission by just wandering around the map. Turned out some wildlife had decided to murder the enemy camp.

Not the same, but once in Doom 3 I randomly guessed an access code without having to look for it and thus skipping a big portion of the map.

How the heck did they get killed by bears? Did the bears have machine guns and bazookas mounted on them or something? Must've been the worst mercs in the world!

I like to shoot the animal cages at the outposts and then let them loose. Its always good when you get a bear or a tiger.
I had similar sort of thing happened, animal attack them, but then a car load of my boyz showed up but then accidentally ran over a couple of the mercs, which was awesome to see!

Similar here, those bears are crazy tough. I had gotten caught in a civilian road jam due to some sloppy drivers, everybody then got out of their vehicles and next thing I know a bear comes charging out of the bushes and taking everybody down. People screaming everywhere then this whacky driver comes speeding out of nowhere and accidentally runs over the bear killing it. Only for him to exit the vehicle, whip out a smoke and not have a care in the world.

Random nonsense like that just makes this game totally awesome for me.
