Few Gaming Questions

Some of these are probably obvious.
And i will give Rep to anyone who helps.

Oblivion -
-Will Bethesda ever create a new one? I heard a rumor a ways back that they might, but recently heard another rumor they were finished with it. :'(
-If anyone has ever played Morrowind, do you think a die-hard Oblivion fan should try this game again? I have it for normal Xbox, never got into it, but i love Elder Scrolls. I was thinking of possibly going back for it.

Fallout 3 -
-Worth the expense? Explain. Any resemblances to Oblivion?

If you had to a choice between these games, which would you pick -
Fallout 3
Gears of War 2
Two cheaper games of various sort

Fable 3, how long do you personally think it will take to make it?

That's all for now. :D

Re: Few Gaming Questions

Fallout 3 is extremely fun, I started playing it yesterday and am HOOKED.

6-8 years on Fable 3, PM will do the game he can't tell us about before he does another Fable.

I believe an Elder Scrolls V has been hinted at. Nothing solid, but with such a successful series and the way they've been talking it's almost certain.

I personally find Morrowind better than Oblivion, despite it's engine and graphics retardation. I think that the setting and plot just outweigh those cons.

It's different from Oblivion, but also very similar. The engine is almost the same, and the HUD is very similar. The setting, however, is vastly different.

I would buy Ninja's v Pirates Dodgeball and a new sound card for my PC.

I may attempt to return to it than, if i ever get bored of normal Oblivion. (No time soon.)

Re: Few Gaming Questions

Oh for the So called Fable Sequals.. I read an Article and it said..

Fable 3 will be 2011 Fable 4 2014 Fable 5 2017..

Something like that.

And Fallout 3 i s Better then Gears of war 2 by far.. But the Horde game on Gearsof War 2 is quite fun!

Just bear in mind that you have to use your imagination when some of the more primitive mechanics come into play.

I don't know about Invisible war, but like I said, It has many similarities, and some differences with Oblivion.

I haven't played it myself so I can't say on whether it's actually good or not, but the concept seems solid

Like the fact that the NPCs don't sleep or eat or anything. You just have to pretend that they do those things when your not there. The fact that dialogue is purely written, rather than in Oblivion where they actually speak to you. You just have to pretend a little is all. It's like being a kid again :D

True, I didn't take into account them making other games, which has been mentioned a few times. I meant 5 odd years from when they start developement. Who know's what they're going to do until then though.

Yes i believe there will be a new one and the rumours of its setting are already circling the internet. I couldnt get into Morrowind but lots of people do like it.

Its worth every single penny, ive loved every second ive been playing it for. So far put about 70 hours into the game and still doing new things. Its similar in some ways and uses some of the same systems but ive liked it much more than i did Oblivion and i liked Oblivion a lot. It used an updated Oblivion engine so you will feel right at home with it. However its much more adult orientated with gore, swearing and adult themes. It is not JUST Oblivion with guns as some people say, that would be doing it an extreme disservice as it is so much more than just that.

Id choose Fallout 3 as it has lots of decent replay value (single player isnt all that long at about 20 hours). However with the side quests, moral choices and different dialog you can pick each time there is plenty to do in multiple playthroughs and my first took around 57 hours. However Gears 2 has multiplayer and Horde etc for some replay value but single player is much shorter than Fallout 3's so depends what you are looking for and if you play online a lot.

About 3 years id say.

Morrowind - A great game on it's own, however im speaking as someone who only really got into oblivion. the reason being that morrowing does not have audible speech, all conversation is done in text which is printed very small. I think the most fun i had with morrowind was making up a guard slaying character, using cheats, and killing everyone i could find. Worth the risk of liking elder scrolls less? your decision...but be advised that it doesn't as readily "grab your attention"

Fallout 3 - A nearly identical game as far as physics go to elder scrolls...but more of a shooter and less of an rpg. they have a much more player friendly class system, approx 1/10 of the content available in elder scrolls, and an equally, if not more, addicting game play. If you liked oblivion this game is an absolute MUST!

Gears of War 2 - apart from plot progression...this game differs from it's prequel almost none at all. the matchmaking is rumored to take excessive amounts of time and if you play gears of war 1 it may be smart to stick with it until gears of war 2 goes down in price as a used copy at ebgames or gamestop.

so finally, gears 2 or fallout...i say
FALLOUT!!!!!

Re: Few Gaming Questions

Rep to both of you.
And im definately going with Fallout. Too be honest..i never liked GoW 1, but people have been convincing me that GoW2 is x5 better than the first..
