Jumping right into this, for those who still have their Final Fantasy XIII saves, you'll receive a couple of bonuses when you fire up your new copy of XIII-2. One being a higher success rate when gambling and the other which will give players special monster decorations. Each episode in the game will clock in around the 3-hour mark and the game will also have an auto-save feature implemented. Players will also be granted the ability to undergo the Game Plus mode once their first playthrough has been completed, and will include extra unlockable items and more monster decor.
Famitsu has also awarded the game a perfect 40/40 surpassing the game's predecessor which was just shy of such a score. Prior to this, the only other two games to recieve a 40/40 this year by the reviewer was Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and TESV: Skyrim.
The game will be available Dec 15th for JP, Jan 31st for US, and Feb 3rd for EU.
