Fight Night Anyone?

can't say i am, but i have a friend from the 12th grade who's ranked in the top 100 for fight night round 3, he's pretty insane...i'm sure he's played the demo and checked out the game as of a month ago ;)

I enjoyed Fight Night Round 3 but couldnt get the hang of Round 4 and was to fast paced and frantic. Enjoyed what ive played of the demo of Champion though but yet to play it again after they tweaked it.

I enjoyed F.N.R.3 myself but like'd the step up in F.N.R.4 graphics, although always creating a fighter to emulate myself online didnt work out as everyone seems to be around 6"7 in the game so i always got trounced lol.
I havnt noticed a great deal after the slight changes in the demo but thats because i've played more after the changes than before - mostly due to life/work etc, but there was as learning curve for me because of the new punch control and the 1 button block, i have noticed myself getting better, starting to win 2-3 games now instead of none lol

One thing that slightly frustrates me is that when blocking it isnt immediate and can often accidently throw 2-3 more punches when you were going for a block. The punch control seems better than it was in Fight Night Round 4 and i like the 1 punch KO system so long as it doesnt happen too often. Or you decimate an opponent for 6-7 rounds only for them to land one lucky punch and KO you instantly. Stamina is a nice feature and having it recharge after punch flurry's so you can no longer throw hundreds of punches a round with no real accuracy like in Fight Night Round 4.

Yeh i have the same problem dark Drakan, i always seem to throw an extra punch or two that I didnt intend to, also theres been speculation that the 1 punch k.o has been up'd in frequency for the demo for people to experience it?
( not sure if it's been confirmed ).

I found the punch control took a bit of adjusting but I've got the hang of it now ( apart from the odd body shot ending up to be a hook to the head? ) but all-in-all i'm liking the new addition to the franchise :-).

Ive gotten a little more used to it now and the throwing of extra punches instead of blocking straight away is less frequent. I have knocked out my opponent a couple of times with the 1 punch KO and also knocked him down 3 times with a handful of punches but they dont happen THAT frequently to interfere with play. They are searching for a good balance before the games release to keep it as realistic as they can. The stamina system seems a good addition and i like the fatigue idea that starts to set in depending on how many punches you have thrown compared to how much damage taken. Will be interesting to see the result of a fight that goes the distance in the full game along with the damage they recieve.

I have, its very good I have knocked out my opponent a couple of times with the 1 punch KO and also knocked him down 3 times with a handful of punches but they dont happen THAT frequently to interfere with play at night

Be intresting to here the reviewers verdicts and im most intrigued to see how the new story driven mode is. It could be brilliant and bring something new to the game or it could be weak and ruin the game.

orgun - yehI dont find the 1.P.K.O. to interfere too much, but I block alot lol.

D.D. - I'm really looking foward to champion mode, looks like it'd going to bring alot to the franchise, the legacy mode got a bit repetitive before so hopefully this will vamp things up lol.

Its hard to make Sports Games interesting year after year with season modes and 'building' your way up the ranks but adding a proper story to it (be it a little cliché) its something new they havent tried before.

Agreed, I was watching a video a wee bit ago where they were talking about F.N.C. and said the called it F.N.C. as opposed to F.N.R.4. because of the new champion mode etc. they decided to advertise it as champion as opposed to just the 5th installment of something you've seen 4 times before, hopefully it lives up to this lol.

A wise idea from a marketing and sales standpoint as it doesnt merely look like a yearly update. Its being created as a stand alone game and not a direct sequel to previous games so if it ends up good it can be on its own merit.
