What kind of finishing animations have you seen? It activates sometimes when an enemy is close to death. I'll start a list:
Swords
Wolves:
- It jumps at you, you catch it by the throat and run it through.
Hobbes:
- You tap it on the shoulder, point in a direction, it looks that way then you stab it.
- For small ones, you pick it up, flip it upside down and punt it.
- Knock it over, stab it through, then jump over the corpse.
- Small hobbe leaps at you headfirst, and you headbutt its skull apart.
Man-like:
- Jump on their shoulders and break their neck with a twist.
- Parry, then slash through the gut.
- Throw sword down and break their neck with bare hands (Sand Furies)
- Jump and throw your sword into their chest.
- Jump and stab, Achilles style (from the movie Troy)
- Pick him up by neck, throw him over and down on his back then stab through the face.
Balverines:
- As they leap at you, you impale them mid-air.
- Pick it up by neck, throw it over and down on its back then stab through the face.
Minions:
- Four slashes across the body and they fall to pieces.
Hammers
Wolves:
Hobbes:
Man-like:
- Two strikes; the first knocks them face-first, the second splatters their skull with a satisfying WHUNCH!
Balverines:
- Same two striker as humans.
- You get behind it, bring the haft up across its neck, grip both sides and pull hard, crunching its neck.
Minions:
- Same two-striker.
- Swing it under-handed to nail them in the groin. All the parts fly upward.
Pistols
Wolves:
Hobbes:
- Shoot all limbs, then face.
- It swallows half your arm, then you pull the trigger and blow out the rear.
Man-like:
- Shoot all limbs, then face.
- Duck underneath and put in 3-4 shots as it leaps over you (Sand Furies).
Balverines:
Minions:
- Rapid fire 7-9 shots into it as it falls down facefirst.
Rifles
Wolves:
Hobbes:
Man-like:
- Hold it out one-handed, they lean back and go "oh no!" and you blast them in the face.
- Jump over them, then blast them in the back of the head.
