Fireball Glitch

Whenever I cast the Fireball spell, the Hero keeps it in his hand and I can't release it, use my weapon or use any other spell while it's going on. It can be taken off if I just pause and unpause the game, but this can obviously be irritating. Can someone help pl0x?

I've heard of this glitch before. Can't you just not use Fireball? It isn't exactly an overwhelming spell...

Well, I know, it's just that when I cycle through spells I often accidently click on that.
