First Impressions.

First off let me say that this game is friggin awesome so far. I like the way it feels, its beautiful and its fun. BUt and I SCREAM THIS BUT AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS BECAUSE ITS LIKE MAJOR WTF? First off My LE didnt have the content, but thats not the problem, my tv is apparently not big enough, BUt thats still not the problem, the game has so many glitches, so friggin many, mind you none of them really hinder game play, but to me its like HUH? Theres one instance where my characters body and enemies bodies flip out and thats ok, I mean thats funny, I can deal with that. But Lionhead...I know you guys spend more time with texture than this is showing me. I had a statue made of my self, aside from the painful pose I couldnt accomplish, I could see through its eyes. I love you lionhead and I would vote for this as game of the year a hundred times. But Two sided materials, its one click in max, one checkbox. Also there was an instant where I was in front of a portcullis but I could see through the wall, I could see the portcullis through the wall. It was a kinda WTF moment, but, I kinda enjoy the glitches, that means at some point we will be wandering outside the areas WHICH IS ALWAYS COOL. Also at one point I had like 4000 exp for will etc and I did not turn the game off without saving but I simply progressed through the game a bit and it vanished. Ouch. Also, The very first bug I encountered was when my dog was first injured, he got stuck on a hill out side the first bandit rescue with thag. There a few other ones but whatever. Ill finish by saying I love this game other than a few moral things that IM delusional and paranoid about, involving a certain book that I most certainly am not happy with having to pick up. But thats ccuz im a looney. This game is beautiful , Im sure I said the word magnificent and masterpiece a couple times. IM sure it will deprive me of hours of sleep over the next few weeks, Thank you lionhead for this digital wonderland we call fable 2. I did not mean to slam your art I only hope you use this info to patch it up.

Re: First Impressions.

Hey, Does your dog keep falling into lakes and stuff while trying to lead you to treasure? I think my dog is mentally challenged or something.

"Woof woof *splash* woof woof *splash*" ---Lol...

I'd be annoyed if it weren't so damn funny.

Re: First Impressions.

LOL , no. But he does have a nasty habit of being distracted. He woofs, leads and stops for a few seconds. He likes to fake me out and make me think hes about to dig the treasure but really he mentally handicapped.

LOL, I read somewhere that you can spoil the dog if not careful. Also that it can get fat, if you feed it to much. :)

Actually, I have found that the dog does not bark relative to his position but, rather, relative to yours. Let me explain:

If you are running really far ahead and you hear a bark. There is treasure near YOU not where your DOG is. So if you run back toward the dog, it will be very likely that he will lose the scent of the treasure. This is a careless mistake by Lionhead. The dog doesn't actually track down treasure for you. You track down the treasure, he's just there to confirm that there is treasure to be tracked. I was hoping it would take most of the guess work out of finding stuff but I guess I still have to walk in like circles to make sure I don't pass anything. Bleh.

Re: First Impressions.

Got the game 2 days early :D and gotta say just WOW. Yesterday I played for around 9 hrs and i've just brely even touched the main story! there is so much to do in this game, no other game feels the same, it' so unique. So far I jusr married and bought a house for her and our kid (Bob lol, hes evil) to live in. I own about 7 shops all together get quite a bit of coin for my pocket, the dog is such a 10/10 feature, it really makes the game so much more better. There is treasure everywhere on the map and he finds it all for you

I always thought the combat looked good! but you really have to try it to feel how good it really is, I use the master chef sword (lol every1 called me master chief) and I have a huge rifle on my back with some spells (force push is awesome). As I said I only done about 3 main sotry quests and are just exploring the towns which feel so alive!!!

I keep running into SteamPunk (lol) and its so fun, I just see his orb every now and then and we just start chatting (you just have to be near each others orb for chat (no menus or anything). So far the funnest moment was with some dude on my XBL friends list, I was in childhood and running around kicking ass and I heard some1 singing the Fable II intro song (lol he was watching the first cinematic and humming along and cos our orbs where close I could hear him lol)

The game so far is so fun, sorry for the bad spelling, grammar. I'm about to whack in Fable II again lol. Ill keep you guys updated.

Re: First Impressions.

Oh you zammame! LOL We need to quest dude, I need more stuff, I want a cleaver but I cant figure out how to get to other areas without completing main story line mish's

Re: First Impressions.

Well, I wanted somewhere to comment, so--

Although I haven't played much (only and hour or three) so far it's awesome.

There are some slightly annoying glitches (most notably the dog and NPCs walking through inanimate objects, and me attempting to jump off a cliff, turning halfway through, and ending up stuck looking like I was doing my incredible Levitating Crucified Guy impersonation); but all in all... the damn thing is awesome, and that's all there is to it.

So many different things I like that I can't list them all.

Re: First Impressions.

When i bought this game this morning and popped it in before i went to work, i was really impressed. The graphics where amazing, and the controls felt better than they did in fable. Since i was playing Fable prior to gettign Fable 2 to refresh myself, it felt awesome to get in and do the things i couldn't do in fable.

You must get fast!

Heres a trick, become a ninja, sneak into the store, grab the game (make sure to leave the money on the counter, your a ninja not a thief!) then go home and play! :ninja:

I know the feeling. I go online and 31 of my friends are playing it, all night long. They got to tell me how cool it is, which just makes me sadder, that I don't have it. But I will. I'm just glad it's exactly how I knew it would be. Beautiful.

Re: First Impressions.

You know, i had a hard choice, it was either get my car inspected this week or get fable 2, i chose fable 2 =]

Re: First Impressions.

So far the only thing that the game is lacking is the ability to bring both armor and weapons to each others worlds.
