I have noticed that the more I fish the faster the red bar shows up and the easier it is to snap the line. How do I remedy this?

you dont...its part of the game...unless there's a way to mod it...ask HodgePodge or Droded

No....it doesn't...but its harder to get to the red bar.When the fish is try'n to get away,let go of the controller.When he stops,start tapping again.Give me Rep.

The Rod of Champions actually does help with fishing but not the problem.

I've never noticed that the Rod of Champions (I will not make a Tsuyian comment about the name. Really, I won't) is any less prone to the line snapping, but you can avoid snapping the line pretty well. Only reel it in when the fish ISN'T moving backwards and making that annoying wind-up-toy noise, and it won't go red. If you hit it three times when the fish is moving backwards, it snaps. Twice and you're okay-- I even think you slow it down a bit.

I don't think fishing more makes it break easier, at least ot that I've noticed.

The only reason the rod of champions is better than the regular rod is because it heals your bar much faster. And by heals, I mean making it go from red to green.

How quickly the bar goes from green to red depends entirely on the fish's size. A 15g fish will barely make your rod a shade darker than green, but a 45,000g fish (yes they exists, and some larger, try hook coast or the lost bay, or the necropolis) will make your rod go from green to red in two taps of the button.

In the CFishingRodDef, try changing MaxStrain to a super high number.

If you have higher strength Physique or Health it makes fishing easier as you can reel the fish in faster. I noticed this when i upgraded these qualties every time, i like to catch my own fish in the game saves money.

Open up FE and go to CFishingRodDef. It's in the game.bin.

Also, I want to get things straight:
1. The red bar appears faster the bigger the fish and is NOT dependent on the total number of fish caught thus far?
2. The Rod of Champions makes it easier to fish by making it so that the red bar does not show up as fast?
3. Increasing Physique and/or Health can make it easier to fish by making it so that the red bar does not show up so fast?

No Altering your Strength atributes allows you to fish more successfully by allowing you to reel a fish in faster, thus minimzing the chances of it getting it away.
