Free roaming?

So I came across this video I'm sure you all have seen many times.

But in the video it doesn't look as though it's free roaming. It looks like they are on a set path. Could someone clear this up for me? I got fable a week or so ago because I was bored and I'm loving it other than the constant loading and set paths. I just don't want that in fable 2.

well they have had videos where u can jump fences so i think at the very least some lesser set paths. idk for sure but i did see the fence hoping part ^_^

Okay well I just hope that it is MUCH more explorable than Fable 1. Thats one of the main reasons I like RPGs

Peter M has said that it is a totally free roam game , and the gold line is the bread crum trail or suming like that , it takes you to the main quest. You can turn it if if it gets enouying but there arnt any mini maps.

Don't fret, Fable 2 is going to blow your mind.
Thus, you won't need to worry about free roaming.

In IGN's last interview, it said this game, will have just about all the promises, of Fable come true.Wonderful review. :)
It's free roaming. If it looks like you can go there, you can.
There might be a place or two, that you can be ambushed. Just remember where they are, and don't go there, until you have the experience, to get through. That's what I plan on doing.:unsure:

i'm fairly certain that i've read somewhere that it is completely freeroamable period. i mean there's an achievement that you get for cliff diving. come on if they're going to put a barrier, it's going to be at the edge of a cliff. it has to be freeroamable.

I honestly had no qualms with Fable 1's linearity (map-wise, anyway). The fact that Fable 2 is free-roaming is great, but I don't think it would have mattered to me if it didn't have it. A nice little bonus indeed.

fable 2 is totally free romable. they just dont show much of it. they are very mean and secretive. but yes it will be compleatly free roamable in an open world.

I think a lot of what we have seen has been from a restricted demo for the trade shows and doesn't reflect the free roaming nature of the full game. They can't have the public revealing too much as they play the demo after all.

God I can't wait to play this game!

I can't wait to play either. This game so rocks, I can't stand it. Just give me the game, please, now.:( I'm done.:blush:

I really hope that is right cause there is quite a big chance that it is'nt

so if u can cliff dive u gotta beable to do whatever wondering around =]
