Free Roaming?

I haven't read anywhere either way so....

Will the game be more free roaming like oblivion. Where I can explore the whole map or will i be restricted to paths and/or instance type linearness.

well i dont think it will be like oblion where its just a huge field with cities added but i think it will be like the old fable but this time you can go off of the path i dont kno really but from what ive seen in gameplay its all ben a road and you follow it but maybe that was just what they have the reporters playing so that they cant find something they didnt want people to see :P

if u read an article resently from PM it says that hes only told us about some features and when we get the game are minds will explode and then he will take over the world because everyone dies but serously he said hes only told us about maybe .0001% of the game so no one is really sure we just know about how the game starts :O

atleast thats what i think

Its kinda in the middle from what I saw. It is quite narrow and venturing of you path does not make things faster or bettermuch

yea i think ali has it right ... kind of like fable with all the paths linked together but much BIGGER so you can go off the path and do stuff

i wonder if that statue that moves and points to places will still be their that would be cool if its still moving or its broken and you can see gears inside of it and maybe a secret note :O

I just hope the game doesn't end after the credits. I want there to be a quest generator. Like go kill X number of X in X.

It won't end after the credits. Other quests after that, I don't know.:)

Might be like the first one, just carry on after with all stats. Also i think they will let you do all the quests and stuff if you hadnt done them all. well, hopefully.

No it's going to be a lot more free roaming than people think. Here's a vid I found yesterday. Someone posted a similar vid, but in this one PM frees up the camera so you can see how big the region really is. It's huge.

Itll be like the first one but on a much larger scale. I remember reading that there are 12 regions, each bigger than the first game. If you watch some of the videos you can see him traveling between regions. In one video he goes from Bowerlake to Bowerstone, and it shows the path on the map during the loading screen. So that proves that it wont be completely free roam able like The Elder Scrolls.

there will be for sure barriers but you can go anywere you want i think in albion. prolly to get threw some places yull have to defeat quests or sumthing

There are about 20 regions in Fable 2, each the size of albion, completely free roaming *within those regions*.

Yes you can, i have seen a video mention this you can also swim in water... omg, video game character that can swimO.o

I was hoping for a little more free roaming but 12 or 20 sections as large as Albion would be fine.

The game is confirmed to be completely free-roaming. You are able to go anywhere you wish, whether it's on the path or not.

There are twelve regions, each with an underground area, as has been said and it looks like you will fast travel between them.
True that it won't be as free roaming as Oblivion in the sence that you could walk or ride a horse from town to town but that got old fast in Oblivion.

However in another sence it will be more free roaming within each region because you won't have a break when you enter or exit a building. Personally I can skip the wandering around the wilderness for the seemless in town experience.
