Game-Hating Gov. Goes Bad
I bet his wife is thinking "I wonder what he'll look like as a penniless looser after I take him to the cleaners in divorce court"
He'll want that money back after she's though with him that's fo sure.

I love the last bit :lol:Ordinarily, the moral turpitude of the people we elect to lead us doesn't warrant a mention on our website--we're too busy waiting for Mario Cart Kart to come out--but today's political scandal warrants a mention.
According to the New York Times, New York's Democratic governor Eilot Spitzer is enmeshed in a prostitution scandal due to wiretaps that seem to show that the Guv engaged the services of a high-price call girl. He's expected to give a statement this afternoon. Why should gamers care? Because Spitzer has been an outspoken advocate of tougher, mandatory regulations on videogames. Here's what he said during his 2006 campaign for governor:Like all parents, I know it is increasingly difficult to protect our children from negative influences… self-regulation doesn’t always work… we have learned that when self-regulation fails, government must step in… we must do more to protect our children from excessive sex and violence in the media…
Media content has gotten more graphic, more violent and more sex-based… Currently, nothing under New York State law prohibits a fourteen-year old from walking into a video store and buying… a game like ‘Grand Theft Auto,’ which rewards a player for stealing cars and beating people up. Children can even simulate having sex with a prostitute…Perhaps if people stuck to pretending to have sex with a prostitute, they wouldn't destroy their political careers... just a thought.
