GameOverCast episode 23 discusses Fable 3, well its more like a 7 minute rant about Fable 3, from an avid Fable 1 and Fable 2 fan.
Bits talked about include:Dog Ai, loading bugs, superficial interaction, broken combat, overpowered magic, over simplicity overall. Listen and feel free to disagree to your hearts content.

Rant is about right. I'm still confused by all the moaning about glitches and bugs and loading errors. The Dog ai is a pain, but it was always a bit of a pain and I still like that. It makes it feel like a real dog, sometime it just wont do what I want it too :D

I've encountered one glitch which seemingly resulted in my co-op partners Strength Stature and Will being transfered to mine. I've had a few loading crashes, but never on my game, only when I am in someone elses world. I've run up at least 100 hours of play across 3 characters. Its very strange.

Combat is broken, but the way he talks about it is as if it wasnt that way in Fable 1 and Fable 2. Combat was exactly the same in Fable 2, although you could make it even easier my taking headshots. Even the original Fable, the combat was pretty much just button bashing once your worked out physical shield rocked socks. The only real challange was in the boss fights, which I give you, Fable 2 and 3 sorely missed.

Interactions are messed up true, but to say ther villagers have nothing interesting to say shows that not enough time has been spent listen to them. They still have the brilliant lines. To say also that the main characters have no interesting dialouge again I think shows a lack of waiting around listening. The best parts of dialouge in fable famously come when you wait around after accepting or before accepting a quest. Things like the gnome song, Walter's discussions with Swift, Samuel etc.

But then again, I'm not suprised by thier review, as its clear they are hardcore gamers and Fable isnt really a hardcore gaming game. I like the fact that when I buy a Fable game I dont have to think about whether I'll actually be able to complete it or not.
