GDC announcement. Good enough?
After Fable TLC was released there was an outcry for a second Fable. Then Lionhead announced that they were working on the project. After a l-o-n-g wait, the impatience of gamers like myself was overwhelming. Then the GDC announcement came. The announcement was astounding in that we really had little more than a few concept pictures and the teaser to discuss before. Now we have a dog, gender selection, guns, a vast world, more stuff, a side-quest for every building and a family. Was it enough? Do you feel teased or are you satisfied with the amount of information that has be released?
Personally, I would feel much better if Peter had released a little more information on the character creation. Such as, can you design your characters physical appearance. Some more detail on the progress of the game other than they can move around in it.
The dog idea, I believe, can work well if it is properly placed in the game. When the game is released we will all have a chance to judge the pup for ourselves.
So essentially, we did learn about the game from GDC, however, I found myself a bit let down. Let down from the quantity of information not the actual subject matter discussed. Maybe I am just too anxious for the game to come out and am not giving the GDC announcement the credit it deserves.
