Gears 2 Old-School Weekend Starts Tomorrow

Epic has announced another event coming up this weekend. One of the fixes they are looking at for TU4 (Title Update 4) is the removal of the concussion effect from smoke grenades. To test this idea, matches this holiday weekend from tomorrow May 22nd at 9am EST through Tuesday May 26th at 9am EST will be old-school four on four with no concussing smokes.

Personally I think the smoke grenades should be modified or even better, taken out of the game. I also preferred the Gears 1 game engine, it made things a lot more personal and I don't know how to describe it but the game was just.. better for multi-player.

This 4x4 Online Multi-Player sounds Very Interesting to me; as I have said before; I feel that the Compulsion (basically) to play Ranked Gears 2 has Destroyed the Game; I will put my Game in today and see how it plays out; regarding Smoke Grenades; I Agree Completetely

I'm not sure if it's the ranked side of gears tilly, I think the game is too much for somebody's connection to handle. When I played the game it was laggy every time and the smokes just overkilled it.

If they used the same game engine as Gears 1 I think the game would be a hell of a lot better online.
