The long rumoured Kinect Exclusive Gears of War (Gears Of War Exile) has been officially cancelled according to Epic's Cliff Bleszinski .It was first mentioned Jan 2011 but was never fully announced and no footage was released but the game is dead in the water. He had the following to say about it:
Let's just bury the hatchet now, Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can't give any details about that has since been cancelled.
He also has said that there is no plans at the moment for a sequel to Bulletstorm.
We thought a lot about a sequel, and had done some initial development on it, but we found a project that we thought was a better fit for People Can Fly. We haven't announced that yet, but we will be announcing it pretty soon. I'd love to go back [to Bulletstorm]. I think there's more to do with Bulletstorm. Heck, it kind of ended wanting more. I'd love to see another project, but right now we don't have anything to talk about.

Was wondering how long it'd take them to stop this, not at all surprising. Waste of time, waste of resources, and a waste of money for something that wouldn't have lived up anywhere near the name of the franchise. Chances are however they'll probably give it another try whenever Kinect II releases.

Until they can properly map feet and movement without looking like someone having an epileptic fit while dodging rocks being thrown at them they wont be able to live up to the Gears name.

Even if they could track legs and feet properly, how are they going to properly simulate walking around in an environment freely given the small area of a living room in comparison to an expansive battlefield? I can't see that working well at all.

Running in place can't be translated to going left, right, back or forward.

Just dont see how they could properly re-enact movement and direction, server seemed to throw a fit when I put that comment and multiple posted it. Microsoft must have hacked me. :troll:

Would probably just have ended up as a lame on-rails shooter anyway.

Next attempt: Modern Warfare 4 KINECT.
