Gears of War Surpasses 2 Million Unit Sales Worldwide

Microsoft Game Studios and Epic Games Inc. has confirmed that "Gears of War" has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide since its release six weeks ago, with a stunning 1 million copies sold in North America alone.

Gears of War made has made history by becoming the fastest-selling next-gen game of 2006 and the fastest-selling exclusive Xbox game of all time.

'Gears of War' clearly has won the battle for the title of the must-have game of the year. Its phenomenal success is one of many reasons why Xbox 360 is the ultimate place to get together with friends to play this holiday." - said Jeff Bell, corporate VP of global marketing for the Interactive Entertainment Business at Microsoft Corp.

Shooters always get compared to Halo but they shouldnt be, i mean i havent played Gears Of War myself yet and it looks exceptional and is being hailed as one of greatest shooters ever but Halo shouldnt be compared to it and vice versa as they are both masterpieces in their own right.

yeah its alot shorter than i thought it would be, but still fun. if there wasnt xbox live then it would not be worth buying.
