gem trading problems

i read somewhere that you can make alot of money by selling and buying gems in oakvale.
i seem to be LOSING money.
i buy all of the gems and them sell them and i have much less money.
help?
i think im doing it wrong...

It's only in lost chapters and it depends on the ammoun tof gems you have. For emeralds in Oakvale I reccommend like 25+
