Getting a 360...

I'm saving up for a 360 and I plan on getting it between now and October 24th which is the Fable 2 release (duh xD). I hear the old ones have something with the fan were it melts the graphics card or something.

I plan on putting ALOT of hours into fable 2and I seriously mean alot lol Should I get it on release or is it safer to get one of those Premiums and wait till the end of November? (B-day)

Most of the RROD prone ones are out of circulation now, it can still happen but not as common as it once was. They all come with extended warranties and are repaired for free if they suffer from it anyway. I had the RROD once after just over 2 years of hardcore gaming and i had it repaired for free and had no issues since.

DD summed it up a lot better than I could! Just go out and buy a 360 now! You won't regret it! Then again, if you do decide to wait, I wouldn't be surprised if a few stores began bundling Fable 2 in with Xbox 360 consoles - when Fable 2 is released that is.

GET IT!!! All xboxs made after August '08 (the 60 gig ones, the 20 gigs are older) have had the heating problem fixed. The xbox is great, I use it instead of DVR, DVD player, IM, etc! It does everything!

im gonna buy one but i have a computer so should i wait because all of my friends have a 360 (i have a ps3) and there 360s have broken at least 3 times with an overall time of shipping to microsoft about 2 months they didnt have a 360 for repairs thats my biggest problem with the 360

Had mine for over 2 years, had RROD once and was without it for 6 days. Had it repaired with new DVD drive and new quieter fans and had no problem at all since & i use it A LOT. :lol:

I'm on my 4th box as of 2 months ago. I dont have very high hopes and the second it breaks outside the warranty..... I'll just have to buy a new one.
