getting out of Fear?

I wanna buy the bar in bowerstone, but for some reason the owner fears me.
Im trying to get out of that to get a better discount, but it seems everything I just makes hime love me.

says he like thumbs up, so I did that and got a second icon + besides the heart, but that one worked for the first time. after that its nothing but love. He likes a certain flower, got him that, still nothing but love...

any suggestions?

Do funny stuff e.g. sock puppet, play the lute, throw the ball for your dog etc. This should work for you

I've done things like playing the lute and that, but all I get is love.

the other thing I noticed is looking at the title of the place, its Hero Opinion that like -7k... could that be because of working so much that I've neglected doing quest... or is that because Im feared?

Ok these expressions should reduce the fear in the town also is your hero completely good and pure? Being evil and corrupt will effect how people interact with you. Also quest choices can effect how people will react:

Belch Available at Fiction Burns and as a Reward.
Dance Learned During Adolescence
Fart Learned During Childhood
Hat, Headband, Moustache Reward in Fable II Pub Games. Given to you by Murgo in "See the Future" as a book (Hat, Headband, Moustache)
Laugh Learned at 50% Good Morality
Sock Puppet Available at Fiction Burns During Adulthood.
Victory Arm Pump Learning During Childhood

Also what weapon do you carry, because if it has certain augments then people will always fear you as long as it is equipped.

e.g. Fear Itself Augment: Wielding a weapon with this augment attached will instil terror in the hearts of any citizens who see you. This is found on the Perforator.

Ok I think I figured out my main problem. I'm wearing the Highwayman outfit which holds more aggressiveness Vs to attractiveness then I had originally thought.

My weapon on the other hand should be good as only one is augmented with 2 stones, Ghoul and Discipline. Both of which I don't recall reading either one having bad side effects.

oh and the puppet gesture seems to work the best so besides using that I think I just need to find a new outfit.
