I am having some trouble finding giles grave, is it near his home? if so, is it close to it? any help would be greatly appreciated.

its in the other barn structure its a cellar, and there your have to dig but at the end you'll recieve a really nice boomstick

You mean the cellar behind his house? Or is there another building that i'm just not seeing? I can get in the cellar behind his house, but i cant get through the iron gate. It says i need a key

Did you do the red harvest mission or the good mission because the farm will look totally different depending on which mission you took.

after you leave the farm and come back i will be behind the house some and a bunch of hollowmen will attack you

If you killed Giles, then next to the cellar entrance round the back of his house should be his grave. Dig up his grave and you'll get the key. Work your way through the 'cellar', for a reward thats really worth it!
