Glitch or Gameplay? (May Spoil)

Hey,
1: I've just defeated the darkness and now all of my villagers are gone. I'm assuming they all got killed. However in the sanctuary map, my family are shown in Bowerstone where my marital home is, but husband and child are nowhere to be seen. Can I get them back?

2: My husband and I are white, but our child is black? And I haven't been cheating!

Are they glitches or is there something I need to do?

Also the statue of me outside the castle has disappeared, any thoughts?

if you didnt have enough money in the treasury your villagers died in the battle. raise money and eventually they should come back. supposedly the children are randomly generated and some people are reporting getting black children when the hero and spouse are both white. seems to be just part of the game. not sure if your family is actually dead or not, and if they are im not sure if they come back. i DO know the villagers come back slowly

I married Elise and our biological son is black too. I don't really mind, but instead they should let you choose a little more on appearance than just gender. It's got to be easier to just reskin a model than switch entirely to a different model (the female and male models are differently shaped... obviously).
