God Damnit

I was going to go to the cricket tomorrow with my dad (for the first time) and I was really excited coz I was also getting a day off school. But, my dads work has decided that he's working tomorrow and there's nothing he can do about it, and no one else can cover his shifts. :getlost::realmad: I'm not happy. I even bought Australia shirts today. God damnit!

Yeah, my main thing was that it was Gilly's last game at the MCG (the only place they play international cricket in Melbourne). Turns out it wasn't and I'm going next week :w00t:

I understand your anger, but by using God's name in vain, isn't the anwser. I don't really like it if you do that here in the forums. I understand that some people and countries are really lasses faire about it , but you got to stand up for what you believe in. :O

Wow, I didn't think anyone would actually mention that, but I'm glad someone addressed it. I also believe that as much as it may p*ss anyone off, I don't ever think it's appropriate to use His name in vain. That's just my views, and if anyone doesn't like it, then you know where you stand. Period.

Simply put. I'm sick and tired of people only acknowledging God by throwing his name around in their insults and just using as a way to express how p*ssed off they are at the world. Can we give it a rest, people? It'd be like someone saying your name every time something goes wrong, like it's your fault. You can't always just decide to blame God over everything...

If you dont believe then it just becomes another word to use, im always saying things like it. Normally when i dont want to say something like for **** sake and things like that. As im not religious its not blasphemy to me and is nothing but another word. As i dont beleive i wouldnt be blaming god for anything and im sure thats the case for lots of people, its not meant to be offensive and usually used when your trying to stop yourself saying something more offensive. I dont even notice im doing it half the time as its just another word to me and has no more meaning than any other. Thats my 2 cents anyway.

Same here. Another person on the Resi forum was talking to me about someone using the word god, as in the phrase "Oh god." I didn't find any harm in it. Forums are funny that way. What one person finds insulting, the other doesn't. As long as no ones saying "God is a Fag" I don't see the harm.
