If you could go anywhere, where would you go? Where would you not want to go? What time maybe, even? And fictional? What would you do there and why? What would you bring or take away? What's so special about being there?

There first thing I'd visit is Wonderland (as in, Alice). After that, we'll see. But first those random things that surprise you in a positive or negative way, but either way refreshing. There may be a place I'd rather go at first, but I'm starting this thread because I had this one in my head right now.

In the real world, I'd really want to go to Alaska. My viking heart just aches of desire whenever I see footage from that beautiful place. Sigh....

Fictional, I'd really like to go live in the Futurama universe. It is awesome!

Ok, I'd love to go to China. An old, rural location in China and meditate. I'm not even kidding with the meditation part.

I always wanted to go to Amsterdam(for rather obvious reasons) but uh... heh-heh... Now I've done that, so it's off the list.

And you know what? I'd love to see what Heaven is like - real or not - of course I'd rather not be dead when I went, so it would just be a short visit, I suppose.

Oh and I've always wondered what it would be like to inside the mouth of a whale.

Finally, I'd love to go to Pandora. Y'know, that planet from Avatar. Great place. F*ck 3D, the real thing is WHERE IT'S AT!

I'd like to visit Hyrule during the Ocarina of time period, that place was a virtual heaven in my childhood. I'd bring back some Lon-Lon milk and douse it on my corn flakes. That would be my fictional choice.

Also it would be interesting to pay a visit to the Eastern front during WW2 and watch the battle of Stalingrad from the safety of the sidelines. If I got the chance I would bring back a soviet PPsh 41 sub-machine gun, as a weapon it is an engineering marvel, famed for it's durability and performance. I've always wanted to examine one up close and see how such a simple mechanism can perform so well (Russian engineering for you.)

One place I most certainly wouldn't want to be would be in China around the time of the boxer rebellions. As a foreigner I would have been killed, courtesy of Empress Cixi.

Out of real places, there are various European countries I'd want to see (England, Scotland, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Sweden, probably some more). I mainly just want to see what these places are like for myself.

When it comes to fictional places, I'd be much more enthusiastic about choosing places to go. I would want to go to the universes of Dragon Ball Z, Star Wars, Avatar (The Last Airbender, not James Cameron's god damn name-stealing movie), Fable, or Pokemon, but only if I could be a ki user, force user/lightsaber wielder, bender, Hero, or Pokemon trainer (respectively, of course).

All over the place. Paris, London, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Rome. Anywhere with heaps of culture, because there's nowhere like that in Australia.

A big rock island located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, I would build my secret base on it - and steal the internet connection and various other things from satellites.

To stay? Canada. To visit? Germany and Texas.
As far as fictional places go, I wouldn't mind going to the Dune universe, live on Arrakis, have the IX build me a summer home on Caladan. Or I would be a wanderer in the Middle Earth, a man wandering from town to town, inn to inn, living off the land.

Come to think of it, I've always wanted to visit Rapture from Bioshock before it's civil war, take a stroll through fort frolic, stuff my face at the kashmir restaurant, take a ride in a bathysphere, shake hands with a big daddy, etc. I'd have to bring plenty of money though, you know, with it being an objectivist paradise and everything. That'd be the be the best trip ever, I love Bioshock.
