Golden Joystick Awards 2009
Golden Joystick Awards said:Long List Voting is now live! Hit that voting button NOW to register your votes and select the very best games of 2009 for the final shortlist categories!
Who will make it into the finals? Only you can decide! But HURRY Long List voting closes on 22nd May with the finalists announced on the 27th May
2009 is going to be an epic year in Golden Joystick's history. Last year you cast more than 850,000 votes for the likes of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Guitar Hero III and The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
Will 2009 see Activision walk away with another armful of awards? Should Killzone 2, Halo ODST and FIFA make it into the finals? Can Nintendo translate DS sales into victory for Professor Layton? It's your votes that count!
But while we run these awards each year, we never forget it's you, the great gaming public who make them so special. That's why a Golden Joystick is considered to be the ultimate prize by both developers and publishers, because they're voted for by the only people who truly matter - gamers themselves.
Now celebrating over a quarter of a century of success, the Golden Joysticks truly are the people's gaming awards and it's you, the gamers, that make them so!
We'll be announcing the winners on 30th October as the grand finale to 2009's London Games Festival, and we need your help to make the 2009 Golden Joystick Awards the biggest ever.
